Charges and payment
Our charges are:
- Domestic jobs: £65 call-out and labour, plus any parts. This is payable whether the job takes two minutes or an hour.
- Commercial, air-conditioning and refrigeration jobs: £85 to come out, then £35 per hour on site (charged to the nearest hour, so a short visit is a minimum of one hour), plus any parts. VAT is added to commercial work.
The charge is still payable if, once we have looked at the appliance, you decide not to go ahead with the repair. We will always confirm the cost with you before carrying out any work.
Payment is by cash or bank transfer, due on the day of the work. All parts must be paid for up front — if a part needs ordering, it is paid for first and then ordered.
Parts guarantee
Parts are guaranteed for 3 months, whether they are supplied by us or supplied by you.
Your statutory rights
By law, all work we carry out will be:
- carried out with reasonable care and skill
- carried out within a reasonable period of time, where no date has been agreed
- charged at a reasonable price, where no price has been agreed in advance
Where we agree a date and price with you, those become part of the contract. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Cancelling
Because you book us over the phone and we come out to your home, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of arranging the work. Where the job includes parts or goods that we supply, that 14 days runs from the day those goods are delivered.
We know most repairs can't wait two weeks, though — usually you need it sorted right away. If you ask us to start the work during that 14-day period (for example, a same-day or next-day repair), that's absolutely fine. Just bear in mind:
- if you change your mind and cancel after we have already started, you will need to pay for the work done up to that point, and for any parts already supplied; and
- once the repair is finished, the 14-day cancellation right no longer applies.
Access to your appliance
Please make sure the appliance is easy to get to, with the area around it clear and clean before we arrive.
Keeping the area safe
For everyone's safety, please keep dogs away from the working area while our engineer is on site, and keep small children clear of the area too.
